Screening louvres – Cannon Park Student Accommodation Project

In 2022 Kingfisher worked with RFL Facades on their student accommodation project in Coventry, Cannon Park. This project showcases our KC120 screening louvres, supplied in component form, along with a Kingfisher double door set. One of the great things about the gestation periods on our projects is that we really get to know our customers and can build a positive working relationship, which results in fantastic projects, just like this one!

We asked our Technical Salesperson Rachel Hunt a few questions about her experience working on this project and here’s what she had to say:

Why is this project a highlight for you?

I enjoyed the simplicity of this project and RFL Facades, as a customer, knew what they were looking for.

Tell us more about the project?

The scheme included the redevelopment of a car park to provide a new student accommodation building and associated amenities. Our KC120 screening louvres in RAL 7006 Gloss were used on the rooftop to screen plant equipment.

The KC120 blade is typically used for screening/roof plant applications, and we provided it in component form for this project to create a 6-sided plant enclosure with one double louvred door. For Kingfisher this is a very common application and one we have a lot of experience in!

What is it that you particularly enjoyed about working on this project?

It’s always great working with RFL Facades. Throughout the lifespan of the project we had lots of contact and I made sure they had all the relevant technical information and supplier support they needed, which meant the project ran really smoothly, and as you can see, looks fab!
