Meet the team: Brad Saxton – Factory Sales Coordinator
How long have you worked for Kingfisher? I have worked for Kingfisher since 2020, but this has flown by, I know so much about louvres that I never knew I didn’t know.
What is your role in the Kingfisher team? Talk us through a typical day? As Factory Sales Coordinator I liaise mostly with the production and sales teams, follow up orders placed into the factory, solve any issues and get those louvres out of the door on time, in full and to our usual high standards of course!
What do you enjoy about your role? Probably the problem-solving aspect of this role, in my position there is never a slow day!
What is your favourite film and why? For me, it’s got to be Forest Gump, not only is it a brilliant film, I also can relate to this as I have many people in my life like him. It’s a heart-warming film with truth to it, “momma always said, life’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”, and sometimes “stupid is as stupid does”.
I can’t get through the week without…. Coffee! I would be no good without coffee! Also sense of humour, you can’t take life too seriously and a joke will diffuse any situation.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be an astronaut or a surgeon as a child, until I didn’t like blood and hate flying!
Who would your ideal dinner party guests be (Dead or alive)? Anyone from history that was considered a genius – Aristotle, Socrates, Leonardo Da Vinci, Hippocrates (although he did drink his patients’ urine, so maybe not a total genius!)
What TV show are you currently binge-watching? As a young person I didn’t really watch TV apart from Disney+. I do love anything to do with Star Wars, the Obi Wan Kenobi series that I am watching currently is fab.
Are you a morning person or a night owl? Definitely a night owl, my work mates know not to approach me until I’ve had at least 2 coffees in a morning, without, I start to growl apparently!
Have you ever met anyone famous? I haven’t really met anyone famous; I am a big believer in never meet your heroes, so you won’t be disappointed.
Staycation or exotic holiday? Obviously, I would definitely prefer an exotic holiday. To me though, it doesn’t matter where you go if you’re with the right people.
Favourite food? Anything involving pasta, this would be my top choice at most restaurants, even though it can sometimes cost a pretty penne!
Favourite drink? Other than coffee, it’s got to be rum and coke for me (obviously other brands are available) after a long week of doing a fantastic job, being amazing really takes it out of you!
What three things would you take to a desert island and why? An Iron man suit. Not necessarily an Iron man suit. An Iron man suit.
