Meet the team: Harley Jackson – Welder/Assembler

In the second of our ‘Meet the team’ interviews this year we were delighted to interview Harley, a welder/assembler, at our Pinxton manufacturing facility.

How long have you worked for Kingfisher?  4 years 9 months

Talk us through a typical day? I work from detailed cutting lists to produce, fabricate and assemble louvre systems with precision and to the highest quality.

What do you enjoy about your role? I enjoy the fact that not every day is the same and quite a lot of jobs are bespoke. I like that some are more challenging than others.

I can’t get through the week without…. Coffee and a pint on a Friday (after work!)

What did you want to be when you grew up? Racing driver

Any particular hobbies? Snowboarding, motorsports and fishing.

Favourite film? Gran Turismo

Favourite TV show? Clarkson’s Farm

Morning person or night owl? Morning person

Met anyone famous? Lewis Hamilton and Jeremy Wade

Staycation or exotic holiday? A trip to the Alps or a sunny holiday in Spain.

Favourite food? Nandos
