Kingfisher Louvres enhance aesthetics at new Shoreditch hotel

Specialist architectural aluminium louvres manufacturer, Kingfisher has supplied rooftop screening louvres for the new Maldron Hotel in the heart of Shoreditch, one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

This 157-room development delivered by CField Construction for Dalata Hotel Group, is situated close to Spitalfields Market on Paul Street. The ten-storey scheme, which completed in Spring 2025, marks the group’s second Maldron Hotel in the capital and features an exquisitely designed interior with stylish reception area, café and bar.

Kingfisher supplied 1500 metres of KW100Z louvre blade and three louvred doors to provide visual screening of the plant equipment positioned on the roof of the hotel. Manufactured at the company’s Nottinghamshire factory, the KW100Z system is available in a range of finishes, with a polyester powder coating in RAL 9006 white aluminium specified for this project.

Designed to reflect its urban context with various steps in height and angled articulation of the façade, the new building brings a cohesion to the surrounding area. The subtle finish of Kingfisher’s louvres complements this design integrating seamlessly with the façade whilst screening essential services. CField Construction appointed Air Design Systems, who work closely with Kingfisher, to supply the louvres and carry out the installation.
